How can I watch Spin City? This is one of those shows that are not well known, but it should be. I wonder why most people never heard about Spin City, because this show never had a single bad episode. It’s one of the all time best series made. It's hilarious and most jokes are actually smart. There’s a verity of well developed characters that creates a great mix. All characters were likeable, diverse and compelling. It was just so different. The freshness, uniqueness, and oddly enough a sincere feeling of care for the characters where created in the stories. Even better than the comedy writing, was the incredible acting talent on the show. Almost every actor and actress that ever appeared on the show, whether it be for one episode, 100, or all of them, was very talented and very capable of stealing the show. The first four seasons were just pure gold and although Charlie Sheen did an admirable job, he was never be able to replace Michael J. Fox. The show never survived Michael J Fox's loss(my point of view), but his own swansong was beautifully done. The atmosphere of the piece had a downbeat, sombre mood. It worked fantastically well, on multiple levels. TV rarely writes off characters - usually killed off-screen. But in Spin City's case, it's not a case of killing off Michael's character, but a chance to give a special ending to a special show. It's hard for me to even pick a favourite one because they are all great. If you are a fan of sitcoms, you simply must check this one out. You won't be disappointed. They should finally release the show on DVD. I would give up all other sitcoms just to have the set of Spin City and watch it over and over again wouldn’t you? At the moment Dreamworks only have published two smaller DVD boxes titled "Michael J. Fox - His All Time Favorites" Vols. 1 and 2 in 2003, both containing eleven episodes. All 22 episodes are taken from the four seasons containing Michael J. Fox, each starting with a brief interview in which he states what makes the particular episode so special to him. Altogether just 22% of the Michael J. Fox episodes or just 15% of the entire show is available for purchase. Come on people, we need to chance this!
